What it is
The windows grant is for a complete upgrade, replacing the windows across the home, not one or two. The door grant is up to €800 for each external door, up to two doors.
Like the other individual grants, these are fixed amounts that depend on the type of home, paid after the work is done and a post-works BER is published.
Who qualifies
- Your home was built and occupied before 2011
- You own the home and it has an MPRN
- The work is done by a contractor registered with SEAI for windows and doors
- You get your grant offer before any work starts
How much you can get
| Windows, complete upgrade | Up to €4,000 |
|---|---|
| External doors | Up to €800 each, 2 at most |
| Post-works BER | Up to €50 |
- Amounts are the maximums for a detached house. The Declaration of Works asks for costs including VAT.
Official maximums from SEAI homeowner application guide (PDF), checked October 2026. What you get depends on your home and the work.
